Our client CMSE (www.cmse.ie) is one of Ireland's leading Health & Safety consultancy firms. They had been using a spreadsheet to manage a list of over 14000 contact details. There were many duplicates and a lot of inconsistent data.

We developed and application that imported the old spreadhseet data and put it through a comprehensive validation routine prior to being included in the main contact database. This application has since developed into a mini-CRM type system where users can record activities and all sorts of details about a contact.

Data Import and Quarantine

The original import routine, which is also designed to allow future imports, takes spreadsheet files and imports them into a quarantine area. This data is validated and if the information is complete it is imported into the main contact dattabase. Missing data can be input manually if necessary until the process is complete.

Search Factilities

Finding company details or clients is very quick and simple using drop down filters.

Campaigns

Companies are categorised by industry type, status (customer, prospect,etc) and geographical area. Generating lists for specific campaigns is simple.

Mini-CRM

The system now has facilities for indidividual users to add multiple contact details for the same customer and to record activities such as phone calls and emails so that records of customer interaction can be maintained.
